This is one of the best deals in Boston! If you're looking for somewhere to stay outside the city, but still close to the action, in a young and walkable area, and dont want to break the bank on a luxury hotel, this is your place to stay! I just finished my 6th stay at the hotel. Rooms are clean and modern. The lobby, bar, and gym are perfect. The front desk staff couldn't be nicer! Highly recommend!

Loved my stay here. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff was welcoming and helpful especially Cassidy who seemed to work endless shifts yet never waivered in her professionalism. Convenience stores in the area to supplement anything I needed.

Good potential - needs to fix design issues (lighting & noise from room above)

Overall - recommended if you sleep like a rock (and random noises above your room and from the HVAC don't bother you). New-ish, clean, comfortable and adequate public spaces. Excellent location particularly for accessing metro Boston's inner west neighborhoods (eg Cleveland Circle/Brighton, Coolidge Corner, Allston), Boston College, Chestnut Hill/Newton, and (when the D line is once again functioning) an easy ~10 mins to central Boston. We come to Boston for a funeral and did not have a car (so no parking costs for us). The T, while it can be noisy near the hotel (due to the proximity of the squeaky/curvy tracks headed into its T-car shed), is one of the best connected systems in the US, and I miss having it so accessible in my day to day life (I used to live in Boston)! For those who don't appreciate the expensive parking at the hotel, I suggest you use the T and Uber/Lyft instead for a short trip - you might save money and headaches! Pros: -The rates (even last minute) were reasonable, check in via the app easy, and Rachel at check in made us feel welcome and even helped us switch rooms when we realized our original room type did not have a shower -We were able to request/receive daily housekeeping (not a given these days at 3&4 star hotels), and the maintenance/cleaning staff were friendly and clearly cared! -The parking attendants (particularly Aubrey) were wonderful. Brittany at the bar took excellent care of us! The bar bites menu was above average. -The room: bathroom/walk in shower was functional, décor simple/calm/modern (my personal preference) -Storage was more than adequate for a short (3-4 day) stay. -I appreciated the firm mattress -small window opens in case you need some fresh air -HVAC kept the room comfortable/to the temperature we preferred, ultimately -I appreciated the large format toiletry items - less waste and easy to use Challenges: -Noise: while I love the "hardwood floor look" design, the lack of any soft fibers in the room lead to anyone above your room sounding like an elephant, whether walking or (worse) moving a chair. Unless I could guarantee a room on the 5th floor, sadly I don't see us returning for this reason only - it truly wrecked our sleep for several nights. The hotel should look into adding a large area rug under and around the bed - this would help. That said, I've stayed at similar designed properties where noise was not an issue, which leads me to wonder if someone cut corners with between-floor insulation. -Lighting - many have commented on this. It's manageable, I see very few hotel rooms today that have overhead bright lights - but our room needed more/brighter lamps. I suspect a few more "emphasis" lights in key places (like over the bed and desk) might help greatly. -HVAC - while it works, was quite loud throughout the night - both with auto adjustments and unknown "knocks" coming from the HVAC vent that woke me up, thinking someone was knocking at my door. I expect these noises at an older hotel, not one built in ~2018. -Pressure of the overhead shower wasn't great. If we used the detachable "wand" showerhead (like many have in Europe), pressure was great. Not a big issue. -Door to the bathroom (smoky glass) was fine but when closed, it simply slides to the other side of the doorway - there is no "catch" for it and as such, it bumped back and forth many times, potentially waking up others in the room. There should be a magnet or definitive closure to prevent this. -Linens seemed cheap (my husband said they felt like "sandpaper") - Marriott can do better. -Room numbers are hard to see next to each room as the hall is not terribly light. Older visitors might have a hard time seeing it - suggest a bit more contrast on the room signs.

Ballet is horrible raved my car back in parking lot. No place to charge vehicle. Bed is so uncomfortable hard mattress with big saggy holes. Just worn out. Sheets are so ruff and scratchy I got itchy rash. Pillows really hard and puffy your next is pushed to your chest so you can’t sleep on them, it’s so loud too the walls are so thin you hear every voice from down the hall and in near my rooms, even tvs from other rooms. The air vent is loud and obnoxious. So uncomfortable and loud. It’s the worse hotel I’ve stayed in Boston.
